CHALKTOBERFEST

On November 4th I participated as one of the artists in a new event that was locally put on here at The Summit in Birmingham, Alabama called Chalktoberfest! (Ironically it got postponed from October 28th to November 4th due to rain. So the play on words doesn't really make much sense haha)

It was an all day event where local Birmingham artists came together to create their own version of sidewalk chalk art while bystanders admired and voted for their favorites.

There were chalk depictions of all different varieties like this one of the well known Bob Ross.

All the way to things like Stephen King's "It" clown. (I'm not including a picture because it was very realistic!)

I decided to appeal to the more "family audience" and went with some good ole-fashioned Peanuts.

It was a crowd pleaser. :)

In fact it was so much so, that people were sweet enough to go vote for it...

And I ended up winning!

Who would have thought?
